The Problem : The Client was auditing its central distribution centre network to assess the stock to store delivery performance using a random sampled system. The system sampled 1% of all goods through the distribution and store network but the client was concerned this sample level was too small and that accuracy was potentially contaminated by process errors and the reporting capability was weak leading to distrust and low user engagement amongst users.
The Solution : By developing a completely new holistic system design comprising of bespoke server side software, wireless data transport and embedded RFID reader software, coupled to a Microsoft based KPI reporting platform we were able to increase the sample rate by 200% to 3% within a reduced client budget. The Problem : The client managed thousands of units of man hours each day from across the UK from a central administration office, processing timesheet paper based data into database information for payroll, billing and client reporting. The data collection and processing error rates were considered too high. The processing of orders via sales emails or telephone led to interpretation errors. KPI and SLA reporting was lag and contaminated by the data collection errors. The client wanted automation, reduced error rates and improved client reporting while working with legacy databases.
The Solution : We started by gaining deep understanding of the client processes and then scoping the requirements in terms of workflow maps and diagramming use cases. These were used to rapidly create a working GUI prototype of the envisioned system and client brainstorming workshops around the prototype yielded an updated GUI that quickly and easily formed the basis of the system specification for full development. We developed a Software as a System (SaaS) solution using a very cost effective cloud platform and added applications for client order portal, real time scheduling, attendance management and client invoicing. The approach also enabled the client to white label the solution into its client environments and offer as part of its own product range leading directly to contact wins. The project payback was under three months due to labour efficiencies and new sales wins.

UKs Largest Police Force needs Crime Trends & Infographics

Infographics capabilities did not allow for trend reporting or the reporting on specific geographic postcode areas both of which the user required.
The Solution : Without access to the existing system we were able to source the data set via an API and build an analysis system using an SQL database and Java code. This system produced trend data reporting capability at the postcode level for the client.
